March 21 - April 20
Aries' Planet: ♂ Mars.
Aries (Latin name Aries) is one of the most well-known constellations of the Zodiac, although it contains no stars brighter than the second magnitude. In Greek mythology, Aries is the very same flying ram, Crius, whose golden fleece was sought by the Argonauts.
In ancient Sumer, astrologers named this constellation "Head of the Ram", while in Babylon it was "Hired Worker", though the underlying meaning in these two names could be closely related.
The constellation Aries is located in the northern hemisphere of the sky, with its stellar neighbors being the Triangle and Cetus. One of the astronomical jewels of the Aries constellation is the bright reflection nebula vdB 16, which has a wonderfully soft blue color.
Interestingly, the famous symbol of the Aries constellation ♈ represents not only and not so much the steep ram's horns. This symbol began to be used in Ancient Greece two thousand years ago to denote the point of the vernal equinox, which in those distant times was not in Pisces, as it is now, but in the constellation of Aries.
Astrology of Aries
Aries Months: March, April
Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac cycle. The ruling period of Aries begins on the day of the spring equinox, the moment when the Sun enters this sign, and continues, depending on the year, from March 20-21 to April 20-21.
Season of Aries: Spring
Aries signifies the commencement of spring, the first of the spring signs in the Zodiac. The days become longer, all living things awaken, yearning for the sun. Nature’s awakening is a time of active growth, of movement upwards and forwards. This is why an Aries born in this season has an inherent drive to grow, to continually achieve new heights in life. The primary qualities of their character are inexhaustible energy, breakthrough capabilities, resilience, and courage.
Aries Element: Fire
The element of Fire symbolizes the untamable and life-giving energy of the sun, the energy of life itself. In the Zodiac, three signs possess the power of fiery strength: Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. All of them exhibit activity, energy, and a creative spark, which the Fire provides.
Fire governs instincts, spirit, and intellect; it pushes Aries to perpetually move forward, never lose hope and faith in themselves, and to uphold their own views.
Aries Ruling Planet: Mars
In astrology, Mars is the planet of immense energy and intense passions. Its motto is: "I act!" Mars governs human emotions, their passion, the thirst for activity and life, as well as fiery emotional outbursts. Mars imbues Aries with vigor and the gift of persuasion. Thanks to Mars's influence, Aries individuals make excellent lawyers, politicians, scientists, entrepreneurs, or simply proactive, enterprising people who do not wait for fate's favors but take it into their own hands and steer it in the direction they desire.
Aries Colors: Red, orange, and all shades of yellow, which can be seen in fire and the rising sun.
