Retrograde Planets in November

The bar shows what part of the month each planet spends moving backward. Retrograde motion isn't a "ban" – it's a change of rhythm: the planet's theme needs more attention and a second look.

1 6 11 16 21 26
Mercury
From Oct 24, 2026 to November 13
Venus
From Oct 3, 2026 to November 13
Saturn
From Jul 26, 2026 to Dec 10, 2026
Uranus

Neptune
From Jul 7, 2026 to Dec 12, 2026
Chiron
From Aug 3, 2026 to Jan 6, 2027
  • Mercury retrograde – deadlines drift, devices act up, and agreements are worth re-reading and saying out loud twice.
  • Venus retrograde – you get pulled back to what already happened: old relationships, old purchases, an old sense of taste.
  • Saturn retrograde – a stress test: unfinished commitments and old debts come back around.
  • Uranus retrograde – change moves inward – quieter on the outside, rearranging on the inside.
  • Neptune retrograde – the fog lifts: you can see where the illusions were.
  • Chiron retrograde – an old wound speaks up again – so that it finally gets heard.

Void of Course Moon in November

The void of course Moon is the gap after the Moon has made its last exact aspect in a sign and before it enters the next one. The classic rule is that whatever begins then "comes to nothing" – bad for launches, signatures and purchases, good for routine, tidying, rest and finishing off old things. This month has 14 of them, 118 hours in total, of them 2 long ones (over 12 hours).

Starts Ends Duration Last aspect Moon enters
October 31 November 1 6 hr 19 min Square to Venus in Leo
November 2 November 3 8 hr 17 min Sextile to Venus in Virgo
November 4 November 5 31 hr 41 min Sextile to Mercury in Libra
November 7 November 7 9 hr 20 min Sextile to Jupiter in Scorpio
November 9 November 10 9 hr 11 min Square to Jupiter in Sagittarius
November 12 November 12 8 hr 58 min Trine to Jupiter in Capricorn
November 14 November 15 14 hr 29 min Square to Venus in Aquarius
November 17 November 17 6 hr 53 min Opposition to Mars in Pisces
November 19 November 20 4 hr 06 min Trine to Sun in Aries
November 22 November 22 2 hr 31 min Trine to Mars in Taurus
November 24 November 24 1 hr 01 min Square to Mars in Gemini
November 26 November 26 5 hr 28 min Sextile to Jupiter in Cancer
November 28 November 28 5 hr 40 min Square to Venus in Leo
November 30 November 30 4 hr 02 min Sextile to Venus in Virgo

We count the classical (Ptolemaic) aspects from the Moon to the Sun and to the planets from Mercury to Pluto. Sites that count only the seven traditional planets get longer windows – sometimes by a day or more.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an astrology calendar, exactly?

It is a schedule of what happens in the sky: when planets form exact angles to each other (aspects), when they move from sign to sign, when the Moon goes through its phases, and when a planet turns retrograde. A horoscope is somebody's interpretation. An astrology calendar is the raw data those interpretations are built on.

Why don't your times match another site?

Usually it is the time zone. Many astrology sites publish in Universal Time (UT), and we show Eastern Time by default, which is 4 or 5 hours behind it. That alone can move an event to the neighbouring day. The time zone switch in the panel at the top settles it in a second.

Does an aspect work exactly at the minute you list?

That is the minute it goes exact. The effect is felt wider – usually a day before and a day after, and for slow planets, for weeks. The exact time tells you where the peak is; it is not something to set an alarm for.

What do you do with a void of course Moon?

Don't start anything that matters in that window: signings, purchases, introductions, first meetings. It is excellent time for routine, for clearing the backlog, for tidying up and for rest. The windows run from a few minutes to a full day – see the table above.

Is a retrograde planet a bad thing?

No. Retrograde motion is an optical effect: from Earth the planet appears to move backward. Astrologically it is a change of mode: the planet's theme works inward and backward instead of forward. The only bad move is pushing hard at something that has no tailwind right now.

Where do these numbers come from?

We calculate the dates from the NASA JPL ephemerides JPL DE440. There is more about the sources and the checks on the methodology page.

Take the calendar with you The month's events as a single .ics file: it opens in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook and anything else that understands the format. It downloads immediately and asks nothing about you.
