Retrograde Planets in June

The bar shows what part of the month each planet spends moving backward. Retrograde motion isn't a "ban" – it's a change of rhythm: the planet's theme needs more attention and a second look.

1 6 11 16 21 26
Mercury
From June 29 to Jul 23, 2026
Pluto
From May 6, 2026 to Oct 15, 2026
  • Mercury retrograde – deadlines drift, devices act up, and agreements are worth re-reading and saying out loud twice.
  • Pluto retrograde – deep work: the old lets go slowly and with no witnesses.

Void of Course Moon in June

The void of course Moon is the gap after the Moon has made its last exact aspect in a sign and before it enters the next one. The classic rule is that whatever begins then "comes to nothing" – bad for launches, signatures and purchases, good for routine, tidying, rest and finishing off old things. This month has 13 of them, 144 hours in total, of them 3 long ones (over 12 hours).

Starts Ends Duration Last aspect Moon enters
May 31 June 1 35 hr 58 min Trine to Saturn in Capricorn
June 3 June 4 10 hr 41 min Opposition to Jupiter in Aquarius
June 5 June 6 28 hr 52 min Trine to Sun in Pisces
June 8 June 9 7 hr 55 min Trine to Jupiter in Aries
June 11 June 11 4 hr 06 min Square to Venus in Taurus
June 13 June 13 5 hr 36 min Sextile to Jupiter in Gemini
June 14 June 15 9 hr 20 min Conjunction to Sun in Cancer
June 17 June 17 4 hr 25 min Conjunction to Jupiter in Leo
June 19 June 19 3 hr 07 min Sextile to Sun in Virgo
June 21 June 21 3 hr 22 min Sextile to Jupiter in Libra
June 24 June 24 2 hr 32 min Square to Jupiter in Scorpio
June 26 June 26 1 hr 31 min Trine to Jupiter in Sagittarius
June 28 June 29 26 hr 14 min Trine to Venus in Capricorn

We count the classical (Ptolemaic) aspects from the Moon to the Sun and to the planets from Mercury to Pluto. Sites that count only the seven traditional planets get longer windows – sometimes by a day or more.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an astrology calendar, exactly?

It is a schedule of what happens in the sky: when planets form exact angles to each other (aspects), when they move from sign to sign, when the Moon goes through its phases, and when a planet turns retrograde. A horoscope is somebody's interpretation. An astrology calendar is the raw data those interpretations are built on.

Why don't your times match another site?

Usually it is the time zone. Many astrology sites publish in Universal Time (UT), and we show Eastern Time by default, which is 4 or 5 hours behind it. That alone can move an event to the neighbouring day. The time zone switch in the panel at the top settles it in a second.

Does an aspect work exactly at the minute you list?

That is the minute it goes exact. The effect is felt wider – usually a day before and a day after, and for slow planets, for weeks. The exact time tells you where the peak is; it is not something to set an alarm for.

What do you do with a void of course Moon?

Don't start anything that matters in that window: signings, purchases, introductions, first meetings. It is excellent time for routine, for clearing the backlog, for tidying up and for rest. The windows run from a few minutes to a full day – see the table above.

Is a retrograde planet a bad thing?

No. Retrograde motion is an optical effect: from Earth the planet appears to move backward. Astrologically it is a change of mode: the planet's theme works inward and backward instead of forward. The only bad move is pushing hard at something that has no tailwind right now.

Where do these numbers come from?

We calculate the dates from the NASA JPL ephemerides JPL DE440. There is more about the sources and the checks on the methodology page.

Take the calendar with you The month's events as a single .ics file: it opens in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook and anything else that understands the format. It downloads immediately and asks nothing about you.
