Planets in signs and houses describe each planet on its own. An aspect is the angle between two planets at birth: how they talk to each other. They can strengthen one another, complement each other harmoniously, or argue.
What is an aspect?
Picture the chart wheel as a clock face. Two planets standing side by side form a conjunction, combining their energies into one. If they face each other across the circle, they form an opposition: a direct confrontation. Between those extremes are four more angles, each with its own kind of interaction. The more exact the angle, and the smaller its orb, or margin of difference, the more strongly you feel the aspect in your character and life.
Types of aspects
All planet pairs
Each pair has its own page. The interpretations are grouped into three kinds of aspect: conjunctions, harmonious aspects (sextile, trine, and quincunx), and challenging aspects (square and opposition). You can compare the different ways the pair interacts, instead of seeing just one angle. Here are all 55 pairings, grouped by the first planet.
