An awkward arrangement: the planets cannot see each other directly and need continual adjustment.
Quincunx – 150°
The quincunx, also called the inconjunct, is an aspect in which the planets have no direct geometric connection. They aren't in harmony or open conflict; they're simply coming at things from the wrong side. Of all the aspects, this one is the hardest to grasp intuitively, and it most often feels like a small but persistent mismatch.
A classic example is feeling that the two areas of life these planets govern just won't find a common language. You have to keep consciously adjusting one to accommodate the other, rather than settling the matter once and for all.
The quincunx has a narrow orb of about 2–3°. It works only when the angle is sufficiently exact.
Choose a pair of planets
Each pair has its own interpretation. Its quincunx interpretation is in the “Harmonious aspects” section. Choose a pair to jump straight to that section.
