Retrograde Planets in June

The bar shows what part of the month each planet spends moving backward. Retrograde motion isn't a "ban" – it's a change of rhythm: the planet's theme needs more attention and a second look.

1 6 11 16 21 26
Mercury
From June 10 to Jul 4, 2027
Pluto
From May 8, 2027 to Oct 17, 2027
  • Mercury retrograde – deadlines drift, devices act up, and agreements are worth re-reading and saying out loud twice.
  • Pluto retrograde – deep work: the old lets go slowly and with no witnesses.

Void of Course Moon in June

The void of course Moon is the gap after the Moon has made its last exact aspect in a sign and before it enters the next one. The classic rule is that whatever begins then "comes to nothing" – bad for launches, signatures and purchases, good for routine, tidying, rest and finishing off old things. This month has 14 of them, 112 hours in total, of them 2 long ones (over 12 hours).

Starts Ends Duration Last aspect Moon enters
June 1 June 1 10 hr 31 min Conjunction to Saturn in Taurus
June 3 June 3 10 hr 20 min Conjunction to Venus in Gemini
June 5 June 5 8 hr 55 min Sextile to Saturn in Cancer
June 7 June 7 1 hr 17 min Sextile to Venus in Leo
June 9 June 9 8 hr 38 min Trine to Saturn in Virgo
June 11 June 11 17 hr 01 min Square to Sun in Libra
June 13 June 14 8 hr 44 min Opposition to Saturn in Scorpio
June 16 June 16 14 hr 08 min Square to Jupiter in Sagittarius
June 18 June 19 4 hr 51 min Opposition to Sun in Capricorn
June 21 June 21 8 hr 23 min Square to Saturn in Aquarius
June 23 June 24 7 hr 58 min Sextile to Saturn in Pisces
June 26 June 26 0 hr 27 min Square to Mercury in Aries
June 28 June 28 2 hr 19 min Sextile to Mercury in Taurus
June 30 July 1 8 hr 14 min Square to Jupiter in Gemini

We count the classical (Ptolemaic) aspects from the Moon to the Sun and to the planets from Mercury to Pluto. Sites that count only the seven traditional planets get longer windows – sometimes by a day or more.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an astrology calendar, exactly?

It is a schedule of what happens in the sky: when planets form exact angles to each other (aspects), when they move from sign to sign, when the Moon goes through its phases, and when a planet turns retrograde. A horoscope is somebody's interpretation. An astrology calendar is the raw data those interpretations are built on.

Why don't your times match another site?

Usually it is the time zone. Many astrology sites publish in Universal Time (UT), and we show Eastern Time by default, which is 4 or 5 hours behind it. That alone can move an event to the neighbouring day. The time zone switch in the panel at the top settles it in a second.

Does an aspect work exactly at the minute you list?

That is the minute it goes exact. The effect is felt wider – usually a day before and a day after, and for slow planets, for weeks. The exact time tells you where the peak is; it is not something to set an alarm for.

What do you do with a void of course Moon?

Don't start anything that matters in that window: signings, purchases, introductions, first meetings. It is excellent time for routine, for clearing the backlog, for tidying up and for rest. The windows run from a few minutes to a full day – see the table above.

Is a retrograde planet a bad thing?

No. Retrograde motion is an optical effect: from Earth the planet appears to move backward. Astrologically it is a change of mode: the planet's theme works inward and backward instead of forward. The only bad move is pushing hard at something that has no tailwind right now.

Where do these numbers come from?

We calculate the dates from the NASA JPL ephemerides JPL DE440. There is more about the sources and the checks on the methodology page.

Take the calendar with you The month's events as a single .ics file: it opens in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook and anything else that understands the format. It downloads immediately and asks nothing about you.
