Venus in the 9th House

How Venus works in the 9th house

Your philosophy of life is simple: what's good is whatever brings pleasure. You love creating a comfortable atmosphere and drawing delightful company and admirers to you. You try not to harm living creatures and aim to lead a virtuous life. That last aim can conflict with your strong appetite for luxury and pleasure. If Venus expresses itself weakly in the 9th house, you risk surrendering to laziness, getting mired in excess, damaging your health with unhealthy food, or becoming addicted to alcohol.

As a student, you spent more time flirting and partying than studying. Your youth tends to be quite eventful. Along with your degree, you surely acquired many useful contacts who will benefit you throughout life. Later, you don't trouble yourself with further education, preferring to put your abilities to use as quickly as possible.

What the 9th house governs

The 9th house in your birth chart extends the themes of the third house, covering long-distance travel and higher education. It describes your connections with people from other countries, how readily you set off on a trip, whether you enjoy traveling far from home, and how often you do so. It also concerns putting your knowledge into practice and your aptitude for study—meaning higher education or specialized professional knowledge. School education belongs to the third house.

What Venus represents

Venus's zodiac sign in your birth chart governs your affections, feelings of love and tenderness, sense of harmony, and attraction to beauty. Venus rules close relationships with relatives, friends, and loved ones, as well as everything you hold dear, whether that's people, a way of life, hobbies, or something else.
